Hōkūleʻa Arrives in Haleʻiwa, Oʻahu for One-Week Port Engagement

After a two-week engagement on Kauaʻi, Hōkūleʻa departed Nāwiliwili Small Boat Harbor on Friday and sailed to Haleʻiwa, Oʻahu, the third stop on the Pae ʻĀina Statewide Sail. At approximately 8am Saturday morning, the canoe pulled into Haleʻiwa Boat Harbor where the crew was greeted by members of the North Shore community.

While docked at Haleʻiwa Boat Harbor, the crew will conduct school and public canoe tours until Hōkūleʻa departs on Friday, September 6 (weather-permitting) for Mākaha and Pōkaʻi Bay. Because of possible weather disruptions, the public is encouraged to check the @hokuleacrew Instagram and Facebook or hokulea.com for the latest port and event updates.
