Hōkūleʻa Returns to Hawaiʻi

Hōkūleʻa is on her way back to Hawaiʻi from Long Beach, California on a Matson container ship expected to arrive in Honolulu late this evening. The canoe will be unloaded into the water at Honolulu Harbor tomorrow morning and then towed to her home at the Marine Education Training Center (METC) at Sand Island. The public will have an opportunity to welcome Hawaiʻi’s canoe home at a brief ceremony scheduled tomorrow afternoon at METC at 4pm.
